On April 5, 2024, the Director of the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Areas of Sisak-Moslavina County, Dragica Vugić, along with her associates, visited the Visitor Centre The Drava Story in Noskovci.
The Public Institution of Sisak-Moslavina County is implementing a project titled "Preservation of biodiversity through active prevention of the spread of invasive alien species," including the removal of invasive alien species such as the red-eared/yellow-bellied slider turtle (Trachemys scripta) and the floating water primrose-willow (Ludwigia peploides), furthermore, 12 red-eared slider turtles from Sisak-Moslavina County were transported to the red-eared turtle shelter at the Visitor Centre The Drava Story.
During the visit, a working meeting was held with the staff of the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Parts of Nature and the Ecological Network of Virovitica- Podravina County. The meeting, which included Director Tatjana Arnold Sabo and nature conservationist Vladimir Ajhler, with the goal to define joint activities between the two public institutions for the implementation of the Management Plan for the Natura 2000 area of Ilova.
