At the Visitor Centre The Drava Story, on March 5, 2024, WWF Austria organized a meeting and workshops for project partners from 5 countries.
The partner meeting was part of the LIFE RESTORE for MDD project, with participation from members of the project team from the Public Institution for Management of Protected Parts of Nature and the Ecological Network of Virovitica Podravina County, and some partners participated online.
After the opening remarks by the Director of the Public Institution, Tatjana Arnold Sabo, workshops were held on communication and education. Discussions focused on upcoming obligations related to work packages, and a schedule of implementation and responsibilities of each partner individually and within communication and education working groups was presented.
In the first part, the communication workshop, coordinated by Jasmin Maier and Hajnalka Rezner from WWF Austria, partners discussed the communication strategy, identification of key target groups, main themes, and messages of the accompanying videos to be produced for educational purposes, as well as promotional materials prepared by WWF Austria that will be distributed to all partners in the coming months.
The second part of the meeting, the education workshop, was led by Mislav Barić from the Green Osijek Association. He introduced a new educational program that will be universal but also tailored to each partner. Each partner presented their educational programs for children and visitors and informed partners about existing educational programs in their institutions.
After all presentations, a brief discussion on the future unified education program was held.
During the break between workshops, participants were given a tour of the Visitor Centre The Drava Story, with expert guidance from Vladimir Juhaz, a member of the project team from the Public Institution.
