On October 10th, 2018, in the Information and Educational Center-Hostel The Drava Story in Noskovci, the Opening Conference of the project The Visitor Center The Drava Story – an interactive, innovative and accessible to all nature experience was held.

Tatjana Arnold Sabo, the director of the Public Institution for Management of Protected Parts of Nature and Ecological Network of Virovitica Podravina County, as the project leader, Josip Mikolčić, the Assistant Director of the Tourist Board of Virovitica Podravina County, Željka Andrić, on the behalf of the Development Agency Vidra and Deputy Major of Virovitica Podravina County Darko Žužak welcomed the attendees. Josip Hren, Head of the Sector for Protected Areas and Eligibility Assessment in the Directorate for Nature Protection, Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy, also addressed the audience.

The project activities were presented to the audience by the director of the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Parts of Nature of Nature and the Ecological Network of Virovitica Podravina County, Tatjana Arnold Sabo.

This project is in the implementation in the cooperation with the Faculty of Science in Osijek, Department of Biology and the Association of Persons with Disabilities Slatina. The project is co-financing by a grant from the European Regional Development Fund (Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion), as part of the Call for Proposals "Promoting sustainable development of the natural heritage". The total value of the project is HRK 13,176,303.71, with co-financing of 85%, which amounts to HRK 11,199,858.16.
