Today, October 29th, 2020, in strict compliance with the prescribed epidemiological measures, with the Closing conference is marked the end of the 56-month long the implementation of the project The Visitor Center The Drava Story - an interactive, innovative and accessible to all experience of nature, KK.06.1.2.02.0017, which is co-financed by the European Union funds from the European Regional Development Fund, the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion, through the call Sustainable Management of Natural Heritage. The Drava Story project started on February 15th, 2016, and ended today. Its total value is HRK 13,176,303.00, with co-financing of HRK 11,199,858.00 (85%).
At the beginning of the Closing Conference at the Visitor Center The Drava Story in Noskovci, the guests were welcomed by the director of the Public Institution for Management of Protected Parts of Nature and the Ecological Network of Virovitica Podravina County, Tatjana Arnold Sabo.

Aljoša Duplić, the director of the Institute for Environmental and Nature Protection, commented the positive impressions on behalf of the profession and from his own experience as a lecturer at the Polytechnic of Karlovac, with which the Public Institution has many years of successful cooperation. Recalling his first visit to field classes with students in the space of today's Visitor Center, he retrospectively commented the number of contents and the quality of the offer that is now available in an exemplary way how to connect the nature protection practices with the educational programs.
Igor Kreitmeyer, the Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, also addressed to the audience . He did not hide his enthusiasm for the impressive results of the realized project, although he is largely responsible for the starting of the whole Drava Story.
Referring to all implemented activities of the project The Visitor Center The Drava Story - an interactive, innovative and accessible to all experience of nature, Tatjana Arnold Sabo presented to guests all the work done, the equipment purchased, the designed programs, the documents and training attended. Along the way, the Public Institution as the project lead partner was not alone. She expressed her gratitude for the help and support to the project partners – the Virovitica Podravina County, the Tourist Board of Virovitica Podravina County and the Vidra Development Agency. There was no place for ugly topics, difficulties and problems today. Only the good was emphasized, as an example of professionally done work and immeasurable humanity. As the director of the Public Institution said, effort, creativity and dedication to the project of the designer and art director of the multimedia project Ivana Pancirov, APE d.o.o. Zagreb, and biologists, external associates for the interpretation of nature, Dr. Biljana Janev Hutinec are an immeasurable contribution to the final appearance of the multimedia setup. "Top five" public thanks of the director of the Public Institution were sent to photographer Matija Turkalj, Turkalj Foto Video from Virovitica, to Hrvoje Runje and the company Ru-Ve from Sveta Nedelja, suppliers of the laboratory equipment, to Filip Mrvelj who painted the Visitor Center The Drava Story and especially the company Novena d.o.o. from Zagreb, which provided IT services and the company that equipped the multimedia setup - Audio Video Consulting d.o.o. from Zagreb.

The Closeing conference was attended by the directors of the Nature Parks Kopački rit and Papuk, representatives of the Municipality Pitomača,the Department of Biology, JJ Strossmayer University of Osijek, the College of Management in Tourism and Informatics from Virovitica, the Association of Persons with Disabilities of Slatina, the Elementary School from Čađavica, the Creative association Kreda, the company Grafiti Becker from Virovitica, the Cycling club Bor and media representatives.
