At the Visitor center the Drava Story of the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Parts of Nature and the Ecological Network of Virovitica Podravina County, the 8th Winter Camp (Bivouac) and the 28th Dario Turkalj Memorial of the Darko Tivanovac Scout Troop from Valpovo were held on January 4 and 5, 2025.

In addition to the planned activities led by the scout troop leaders (about the Dario Turkalj Memorial, basic field orientation, proper folding and wearing of the scout scarf, weaving rings, organizing the quipos – scout notebooks, building a pagoda, a knot-tying workshop, building a campfire, scout games and songs, art and music workshops, the meaning and conduct of promise and oath ceremonies), the rich camp program was enhanced by a reading of The Legend of Buga and Jan, a presentation of The Journey of the White Stork, a presentation of the Public Institution’s new mobile app Drava Habitats (Spheres), and a guided tour of the park and multimedia contents of the Visitor center the Drava Story led by the Institution’s staff.

The winter camp concluded with the lowering of the scout troop’s flag.
